We believe that worship is at the heart of the identity, mission, and work of the church. The faith that brings us into union with Christ also draws us into communion with God through worship. The salvation we have received creates within us a hunger for fellowship with God and with His people. While everything we do as Christians should seek to glorify and enjoy God (and thus be “worshipful” as 1 Corinthians 10:31 and Romans 12:1-2 teach) there is a particular significance to those times when we gather for worship, whether corporately, as families, or privately.

Of all the times of worship that we enjoy, corporate worship is the most important. It is only in corporate worship together on the Lord’s Day that we receive the preaching of the Word, the fellowship, prayer, and praise of the saints, and the opportunity to participate in the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that worshiping together is one of the most important and rewarding things we can do as believers. Our worship centers on the ordinary means of grace of the Word, the Sacraments, and prayer and praise that God gives to His church.

While musical styles are not unimportant, they are not the most important thing. We seek to follow the Biblical pattern of singing “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs” (Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19). We delight in singing the Biblical psalms, as well as both historic and contemporary hymns. Our worship seeks to be filled with reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:28) as well as joy and gladness (Psalm 100:2)!

Please celebrate with us by joining us for our next worship service on Sundays at 10:45 am at 123 W Central Ave, Andover, KS 67002.  All are welcome, and nursery will be provided for children ages 2 and under, but they are also always welcome in the service.

Help us get the word out by telling all your neighbors, friends and co-workers! (and please share this event on your social page). Thank you so much!!!
